Going slightly nutcases here, spent the whole day sorting out my Mac. Years of neglect had left it in a state, by neglect I should say that I haven't been doing regular system updates etc. Honestly I don't know what was wrong with it, but it had been doing strange unexplainable things.

It was the last straw the other day when I found myself in a creative mood and decided to do some work on Photoshop, only to find the darn thing wouldn't open, how about Painter? Yeah, Painter's bound to work, no, same problem...ok, I thought I'll just apply for some more jobs, just open Word here...no looks like that won't open either. Drastic action was called for.

After trying various methods of 'uncorrupting' my 'corrupt' data and making sure my 'librarys' weren't crossed, emptying my 'caches' and a myriad of other shit, I resolved to back up all my files and reinstall everything.

So yea, that took a while, but all seems to be a-ok now, which I'm kind of surprised about, my Mac even recognises my i-pod now and to top it off, the clock works too! I should have tried this a long time ago.

Although the last thing I want to do now is sit in front of the computer, I've been stuck indoors for a couple of days now, saying that the weather hasn't really called for going out but I'm getting to the point where I need to...which is handy because Monday I'm off to see the Flaming Lips in Manchester!!! Perhaps I'll be a technology slave for another day, after all there's still jobs to apply for and I may just get round to using Photoshop, I did just spend an entire day getting it to work...
